Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Physiotherapy Officer to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering physiotherapy services to patients with physical impairments, disabilities, or injuries, with the aim of improving mobility, functional independence, and overall quality of life. The role requires a strong mix of clinical expertise, patient-centered care, and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess patients’ physical conditions, diagnose movement dysfunctions, and develop tailored treatment plans;
  • Provide therapeutic interventions including exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and other physiotherapy techniques;
  • Guide patients in mobility training, rehabilitation exercises, and use of assistive devices;
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure integrated patient care;
  • Monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed;
  • Educate patients and caregivers on safe practices, home exercise programs, and preventive care;
  • Support rehabilitation programs for individuals recovering from surgery, injury, stroke, or chronic illness;
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, reports, and statistics in compliance with health facility policies;
  • Ensure safe and effective use of physiotherapy equipment, reporting any maintenance needs;
  • Participate in health awareness and community outreach programs related to physical rehabilitation and disability inclusion;
  • Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Academic qualification 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or Rehabilitation Science from a recognized institution.
  • Professional license/registration with the relevant health authority.

Additional qualifications 

  • Strong knowledge of physiotherapy techniques and rehabilitation protocols;
  • Ability to handle patients with empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with both patients and colleagues;
  • Proficiency in documentation, patient records, and use of basic physiotherapy equipment;
  • Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to work in multidisciplinary settings.

Years of experience: 

  • Minimum of 2–4 years’ clinical experience in a hospital, rehabilitation center, or community health setting
